Association of Former BCS (FA) Ambassadors (AOFA) organised a memorial meeting on Saturday at the Foreign Service Academy in honour of the Association’s deceased members.
The meeting was chaired by the President of the Association Ambassador CM Shafi Sami, says a press release.
Ambassador Faruq Ahmed Choudhury, Ambassador Tabarak Husain, Ambassador Kazi Nazrul Islam, Ambassador Masum Ahmed Choudhury , Ambassador Ashfaqur Rahman and Ambassador Mohammed Farooq and two other departed members of the Foreign Affairs cadre Abdur Rahim and Ambassador Mohammad Mijarul Quayes were remembered at the meeting.
The meeting started with offering of special prayers for the departed souls of the deceased diplomats.
AOFA members and relatives of the departed diplomats recalled with fondness their chequered diplomatic career and contributions to the nation.
