Singer-turned-lawmaker Momtaz Begum once again enthralled fellow MPs in Parliament with her song on Wednesday.

During the prime minister’s question-and-answer session, she sang two lines before pitching the question to the Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina.

The famous folk-singer and MP from Manikganj-2 praised the PM for her unyielding effort in the development of the country before singing a couple of lines from song that she performed at the Jul 21 public reception for the PM at the Suhrawardy Udyan.

She asked whether there were any immediate plans regarding the construction of a Dhaka-Aricha highway through Singair and the Dhaka-Manikganj elevated expressway as well as to give gas through pipelines at her constituency.
