Khaleda’s counsels don’t know the laws: MinisterAmid the BNP claiming that the government has violated the Constitution by setting up a court inside the jail to try its chief, Law Minister Anisul Huq said it occurs to him that Khaleda Zia’s counsels have not gone through the laws properly.
Huq’s remarks came on Sunday after a meeting with Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain.
“If they have made such statements, then I will have to say that they do not know the laws,” he told the media while leaving the chief justice’s office.
Earlier in the day, the BNP chief’s lawyers lodged a complaint to the chief justice on setting up a special court inside the Old Jailhouse premises in the capital’s Nazimuddin Road for the hearing of the Zia Orphanage graft case
Responding to query on that, the minister said he was not aware of it.
“I will comment after getting the details,” he said.
