A rape victim was left in front of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) gate around 9am on Monday, police and hospital sources said.
Locals admitted her in critical condition and she is undergoing surgery, said the coordinator of DMCH One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) Dr Bilkis Begum.
“The woman aged between 24 to 25 years and told us her name and address”, Dr Bilkis Begum told Bangla Tribune.
DMCH camp police ASI Md Babul Mia said, the female informed that she had arrived in Dhaka from Chandpur and went to her step sister’s house in Gulistan.
There, she was raped by four or five men, she claimed.
Inspector of Shabag Police Station (operation) said that the victim is not clear who left her before the hospital.
Details will be surfaced after probing on the matter, he added.
