A high level delegation from Foreign Ministry led by Md Shahidul Haque, Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary) paid a visit to the mausoleum of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj Sunday.
The secretary was accompanied by the senior officers of the ministry and their spouses and children, says a press release.
During the visit, the delegation placed floral wreath at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu, and offered fateha at the mausoleums of the Father of the Nation and his parents.
Shahidul Haque prayed for the salvation of the departed souls and also prayed for the peace and prosperity of the country.
They also visited the ancestral home of Bangabandhu and the adjacent memorial museum and signed the visitors book.
