Medical equipment from China to battle the coronavirus pandemic has reached Dhaka.
The foreign ministry’s East Asia wing Director General FM Borhan Uddin confirmed that virus testing kits, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and infrared thermometers reached on Thursday (Mar 26).
Chinese envoy to Bangladesh Li Jiming received the shipment of the equipment at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
China had pledged to supply 10,000 test kits, 10,000 PPE and 1,000 thermometres which will officially be handed over by the embassy.
Previously China gave Bangladesh with 2,000 kits and medical equipment to tackle the virus that originated in Hubei Province’s Whuhan city.
