Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on Wednesday (Mar 25) evening, highlighting the latest novel coronavirus situation across the country.

Hasina's address would be telecast live from the state-run BTV and also aired from Bangladesh Betar.

“Have faith in the PM. She will mention in her address whatever is needed,” said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

He said that some more directives might come in the PM’s address.

“The PM, in her address, is expected to assure the nation by highlighting various steps and necessary preparations taken by the government to stem the transmission of Covid-19,” he added.

On Tuesday (Mar 24), another coronavirus patient, aged about 70, died in Bangladesh and six more new cases were reported by the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).

With this, the number of deaths from Covid-19 stands at four and the number of infected people at 39.
