As part of the government's efforts to combat the spread of coronavirus or Covid-19, expatriates who returned Bangladesh on March 1 and onwards have been told to get in touch with local police.
A statement was issued by the Police Headquarters on the matter on Tuesday (Mar 23).
It said oversee returnees who are staying at the locations other than that of mentioned in their passports are requested to report to local police to provide their whereabouts and contact details.
Anyone defying the order will face legal action, the statement added.
