Three more coronavirus cases reported

Three more people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Bangladesh raising the total number of infected to 27.
Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) chief Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora announced the new development on Sunday (Mar 22).
Amongst the infected two came from abroad and one of them infected a family member. As many as 40 people are in isolation in different hospitals.
On Saturday (Mar 21), the second death from the COVID-19 was confirmed in the country.
“We are taking some time to call this community transmission. We want to determine the source of infection in every case,” she said.
She added that there are currently 13,000 test kits in the country and 30,000 more will be brought in.
The virus, which originated in China’s Wuhan and has been termed a global pandemic has claimed more 13,000 lives and infected over 300,000 in over 179 countries.
