"We have enough capability (to tackle coronavirus) and we’ll do that. There’s nothing to be worried," she said on Sunday (Mar 8).

Her remarks came while addressing an event over the International Women's Day at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka, reports UNB.

The government is monitoring the situation round the clock and will take immediate appropriate steps if any problem arises, said Hasina.

"All have to remain neat and clean and follow the instructions of the health ministry," the news agency quoted her saying.

The ministry is issuing instructions daily regarding the coronavirus outbreak, Hasina said before urging all to follow those.

The coronavirus outbreak has left countries across the globe in economic hardship, said the prime minister.

Around the globe, there are now nearly 102,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in 94 countries, with close to 3,500 deaths, most of them still in China, the World Health Organization reports.
