A Supreme Court lawyer has served a legal notice to the President and Prime Minister asking resignation of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid within 24 hours as he failed to stop leaking out of JSC, SSC and HSC question papers.
The lawyer, Dr Yunus Ali Akhand, sent the notice through registry mail Wednesday. He later briefed the journalists about the issue.
The notice stipulated that the education minister did not succeed in stopping the leaking of question papers and that’s why he has no right to stay in that post.
It demanded that according to the constitution, the education minister must resign or the prime minister request the education minister to resign.
Akhand said if no action is taken within 24 hours, he would file a writ.
