The Cabinet has given its green light to the amendment of the company laws.
The draft of the Company Act (Amendment) 2020 received the government's final nod at the regular Cabinet meeting on Monday (Feb 3).
"It has been done to facilitate ease of business. Companies will not require submitting logos for registration, which was mandatory earlier," Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam told the media.
The draft of the Designated Reference Institute for Chemical Measurements Bangladesh Act 2020 received the initial clearance of the Cabinet.
The new law will allow chemical tests in Bangladesh in line with the International Standard Organisation (ISO), said Secretary Islam.
"This will not conflict with the BSTI (Bangladesh Standard Testing Institute)," he said.
