The Bangladesh government has appointed new envoys the missions in United Arab Emirates and Austria.
Mohammad Abu Zafar who had been serving as the ambassador to Vienna, has been appointed as the chief of the Bangladesh Embassy in UAE.
Meanwhile, Denmark envoy Muhammad A Muhith has been appointed the ambassador to Austria.
Md Abu Zafar joined public service as a foreign cadre in 1991. In addition serving in several capacities at the foreign ministry, he was employed at the missions in Netherlands, Karachi, Los Angeles and Dubai.
A graduate of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, he completed his MBA from United Kingdom’s Preston University.
He also completed a degree in International Relations at the International Institute of Public Administration in Paris.
Mohammad Abdul Muhith is a sociology graduate from Dhaka University and joined foreign service in 1993. He served at the Bangladesh missions in Quwait, Rome, Doha, New York and Washington.
