Senior Awami League leader and Cabinet member Obaidul Quader has been shifted from the coronary care unit to a cabin in the state-run hospital where he was admitted on Friday (Jan 31) with respiratory issues.
"The minister is now feeling better but doctors have advised him to rest for two days," Roads Transport Ministry Senior Information Officer Abu Naser said on Saturday (Feb 2).
The Awami League general secretary was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Friday (Jan 31) after he complained of chest pains.
He is undergoing treatment under the supervision of Cardiology department chief Dr Ali Ahsan.
Following a cardiac arrest in March last year, Quader was airlifted to Singapore, where he was admitted to the Mount Elizabeth Hospital for over two months.
