Light rain, worst air quality in Dhaka make people suffer

According to a met office prediction on Wednesday (Jan 29), the weather is likely to remain same on Thursday (Jan 30).
According to the Air Quality Index (AQI) on Wednesday (Jan 29), Dhaka ranked worst with a score of 316.
Air Pollution specialist and Bangladesh Poribesh Andolan Joint Secretary Dr Kamruzzaman Majumder says that the index pointing above 300 is disastrous.
He added that the cloudy sky has less to do with fog and more to do with air pollution.
The met office predicted light rain or drizzle is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions
Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to Thursday morning, it added. Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The lowest temperature on Wednesday (Jan 29) was recorded 9.1 degrees Celsius in Tetulia.
