Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed the concerned authorities to bring back the stranded Bangladeshi citizens in China amid the new coronavirus outbreak, which has so far claimed over 80 lives in the country.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam disclosed about the PM’s directives in a Faecbook post on Monday (Jan 27).
“We have started discussion with the Chinese government. Measures will be initiated considering the ground reality and consent of local administration.”
The minister also said that ensuring safetu of Bangladeshi citizens in China is the government’s priority.
The Bangladeshis, who are willing to return, will be listed soon following an order, which awaits to be given on later Mondat, he added.
