The government has set the flight fare at Tk 140,000 for the current Hajj season - a Tk 12,000 up from the previous year.
The decision was taken an inter-ministerial meeting on Sunday (Jan 19), said Mohibul Haque, Senior Secretary of Civil Aviation Ministry.
The fare of Hajj flight was at Tk 128,000 in 2019 and at Tk 138,191 in 2018.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali, officials from others ministries, and leaders of Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) and Hajj Agencies Association Of Bangladesh (HAAB) were present at the meeting
