Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General Aziz Ahmed is visiting India from July 31 to Aug 05 on his first foreign visit after assuming office.
The army chief will be meeting high ranking dignitaries of India and will visit important military installations at Agra, Lucknow and Deolali, says a press release.
At Deolali, General Aziz will visit his alma-mater, School of Artillery, Deolali. He had undergone Long Gunnery Staff Course at the institution during 1992-1993.
Prior to the visit, High Commissioner of India to Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla paid a courtesy call on Sunday at Army Headquarters.
The visit of the army chief to India will help strengthen mutual trust with immediate neighborhood particularly in the field of defence cooperation.
