Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is addressing the nation on Tuesday (Jan 7) marking the first anniversary of her current government formed following the 2018 Dec 30 general election.
She started delivering her speech at 7.30pm, which is being broadcast simultaneously by Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar.
The private TV channels and radio stations are broadcasting the speech.
Hasina formed the government for the third consecutive term following her party Awami League’s landslide victory in the 11th parliamentary election.
The new cabinet was formed on Jan 7, 2019.
