The online registration to participate in the central countdown to the year-long celebrations of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary has begun on Monday (Jan 6).
The registration will remain open till Tuesday (Dec 7) as the seats are limited, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak told Bangla Tribune.
The registration process will follow a "first come first served basis."

Along with the national identity card number, a valid email address, and a mobile number would be required to complete the registration, he added.
E-ticket would be emailed and one must bring a print copy for entry to the venue.
The countdown to the year-long celebrations of Bangabandhu’s birth centennial will start at the National Parade Ground of Tejgaon from 5pm on Jan 10.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to launch the countdown in Dhaka and across Bangladesh – at every upazila in every district, and in all public places.
The day is significant because it coincides with the beginning of a period of waiting, or countdown for Bangabandhu's centennial celebration, while it marks the anniversary of Bangabandhu’s homecoming - his release from Pakistan, and return to an independent Bangladesh in 1972.
