The results of this year’s Primary Education Completion (PEC), its equivalent Ebtedayee, and Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) have been formally handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday (Dec 31) morning.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni handed over the JSC and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) exam results, while State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen handed over the PEC and Ebtedayee exam results to the premier at a ceremony at the PM’s official Ganabhaban residence in Dhaka.
The chairmen of eight general education boards and the madrasa board handed over the JSC and JDC exam results of their respective board to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said the Father of the Nation wanted to build a poverty free nation saying, “An educated nation is necessary to build a poverty free country. No nation can be reached in dignified position without education.”
She also congratulated the successful students who passed this year’s PEC, JSC, JDC and Ebtedayee examinations.
The result of the PEC and Ebtedayee was published within 36 days while JSC and JDC by 43 days after completion of the exams in line with prime minister’s order to publish news within 60 days after the exam.
The results of PEC and Ebtedayee will be available on websites of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry while JSC and JDC results will be available on websites of different education boards at 1pm on Tuesday.
