Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has said none of the perpetrators who attacked the offices of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) will be spared.
"CCTV footages of the DUSCU incidents will be scrutinised to identify the perpetrators. None of the attackers will be spared and they will face action," he said on Wednesday (Dec 25).
The minister was speaking to media after attending the golden jubilee programme of Sher-E-Bangla Government Boys' High School and College in Dhaka.
On Dec 22, DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur and at least 17 of his followers were injured in attacks after heated arguments with leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League on the campus.
The members of the ruling Awami League's student wing, who work under the banner of Muktijuddho Mancha, were reportedly active during the incident in and outside the DUCSU Bhaban on Sunday.
But both organisations have denied beating up Nur and the others.
Addressing the function, the minister urged the guardians to stay alert so their children can't be the victims of drugs.
"You (parents) be careful to keep your children safe. We don't want the next generation to be destroyed by drugs," he said.
Citing different ongoing development protects, Khan urged all to work together.
"We should cooperate with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to keep the pace of the development on," he added.
