Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the authorities to lighten the burden of books on the children so that they may have enough time to play.
She made the remarks during an Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting on Tuesday (Dec 24), Planning Minister MA Mannan told the media.
He said that the premier has ordered the education ministry to come up with new ideas so that the children are not pressurised.
Responding to queries on the Primary Education Completion (PEC) exams being scrapped, the planning minister said that the matter was being analysed.
