Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the first installment of the list of Razakars that drew backlash for inclusion of freedom fighters’ names, to be amended, said Senior Cabinet member Obaidul Quader.
He made the remarks during a media call at the Awami League headquarters in Bangabandhu Avenue on Wednesday (Dec 18).
“It has come to our attention that here are some errors in the published list of Razakars,” he said.
He added that the Liberation War Affairs and home ministries have been given necessary instructions.
The first installment of the list of 10,789 people, who collaborated with the Pakistani occupation forces during the nine-month-long Liberation War in 1971, has left people astonished as it was revealed that it apparently includes names of several freedom fighters and pro-liberation individuals.
