Saudi Arabia increases Bangladesh's Hajj quota

REUTERSIn a momentous step, Saudia Arabia has increased Bangladesh's Hajj quota from 127,000 to 137,000, paving the way for 10,000 more Bangladeshis, to go for the annual pilgrimage.

The decision came after meeting between State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Md Abdullah and Saudi deputy minister of Hajj and Umrah Abdulfattah bin Sulaiman Mashat held in Mecca on Wednesday (Dec 4).

A team, led by religious affairs state minister, is currently visiting Saudi Arabia to negotiate further issues regarding Bangladeshi pilgrims.
