Director General of the land directorate Md Taslimul Islam told Bangla Tribune that new recruitment rules repelling the 1985 ones are yet to be finalised causing the delay in recruitment and promotion for vacant posts.
"As many as 80 cases have been faced over the new policy with several are still pending at the court,” said the official adding the recruitment and promotion would take place after settling the issues.
"The shortage of human resource is hampering the directorate's operation as well as the field level," Islam said.
