High-speed bullet trains will run on different routes of the country aiming to improve communication networks, said Railways Minister Md Mujibul Haque.
“Bangladesh Railway (BR) will operate bullet trains not only on Dhaka-Chittagong route but also on Dhaka-Sylhet, Dhaka-Rajshahi and Dhaka-Payra routes,” he told a discussion on railway sector at a conference of the Deputy Commissioners (DC) at the secretariat on Wednesday.
The minister replied to several questions of the DC’s during the session.
He said, “The government has a plan to bring the whole country under the railway network.”
Multiple projects are underway to make this happen, Mujibul Huque added.
He also underlined the importance of the DC’s on land acquisition process to implement of any project during the meeting.
