Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged the local administration and public representatives in Brahmanbaria to come forward and extend their support to the victims of the fatal train crash.
At least 16 people have died after two trains collided in the east central district's Kasba Upazila. Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet and Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita from Chattogram collided near the Mondobagh Railway Station early on Tuesday.
In a message, the prime minister expressed shock and sorrow over the deaths prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
