Indonesian President Joko Widodo left the capital after wrapping up his two-day official visit. A special aircraft of Indonesian airlines, carrying Indonesian President along with first lady Iriana Joko Widodo and other 50 entourage members left the airport around 9:20 am.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali saw him off at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport.
Widodo arrived here on Saturday (Jan 27) afternoon on a two-day official visit at the invitation of President M Abdul Hamid.
During his visit, the Indonesian President met Bangladeshi counterpart Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reassuring his country's continued support to address the plights of Rohingya Muslims and Bangladesh's efforts to reach a quick and peaceful solution to this end.
The Indonesian president also visited the makeshift Rohingya camps in Ukhiya area of Cox's Bazar to listen to the horrific tells of Myanmar army's atrocities.
During his visit, Bangladesh and Indonesia also signed five instruments for boosting cooperation in different sectors including trade, diplomacy, fishing and energy between the two countries.
The instruments were inked in the presence of Indonesian President Widodo and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after the official talks between the two countries at the Prime Minister's Office on Sunday (Jan 28).
Widodo laid wreaths at the National Mausoleum in Savar yesterday (Jan 28) to pay homage to 1971 Liberation War martyrs.
He also visited Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi and placed wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to pay respect to the memory of the greatest Bengali of all times.
