Corruption neck to neck with development: President

President Abdul Hamid inaugurated the Independence 1971 memorial at Tarail Upazila, Kishoreganj on Wednesday (Oct 9). President Abul Hamid has said that with corruption in the country has increased neck to neck with development.
He expressed his concern over corruption spreading alarmingly in the country during a programme at his home town Kishoreganj on Wednesday (Oct 9).

He said that the incumbent government must continue the cleansing drives it has started in its own home to eradicate graft from the society.
The President is on a week-long visit to Kishoreganj where he will address several public gatherings and hold view-exchange meetings with a cross section of people and different professional bodies at different upazilas.
He will attend several programmes at Tarail, Mithamain, Itna and Astagram upazilas and is expected to return to Dhaka on Oct 15.
