There is no alternative to plantation for protecting environment, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
She urged countrymen to plant trees to protect environment.
She said, “Try to use every piece of land in house, rooftop, road and offices to plant trees.”
The premier said this while inaugurating the month-long National Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair -2018 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital on Wednesday.
“We have taken initiatives for social forestation and putting effort to provide all necessary services as per the section 18(A) regarding the protection of environment for countrymen", she added.
