The highly competitive medical (MBBS) entrance will be held across the country on Friday (Oct 11).
In a media call on Monday (Oct 7), the health ministry announced that the tests will start at 10 am at the 19 examination centres.
This year 72,928 applicants are vying for the combined 10,404 seats in the government and private medical colleges.
During the media call, it was announced that the ICT Division has been requested to limit internet speed during the duration of the exam and the road transport division has been asked to keep traffic under control.
The Directorate General of Health Services Dr Abul Kalam Azad said that this year questions have been limited to one page and although the questions will be same for all the examinees, the serial number will differ.
“The High Court order will be followed in regard to the admission of the private colleges,” he said and added that the examinees have been asked to be present at the examination venue by 9 am in order to avoid complications including rain and traffic.
Electronic devices including mobile phones, calculators, watches and headphones are banned from the examination venue.
The test was originally scheduled to be held on Oct 4 but was rescheduled as it fell between the biggest Hindu festival Durga Puja.
