Rohingyas might be easy prey for international terrorist groups, feared Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
“I always say that they are soft target for the international terrorists,” he said at a meet the press programme at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity Tuesday.
He said, “I made my point at the United Nations and urged the international community to take action against it.”
Rohingyas are under our surveillance and we have taken steps to protect them, he said.
“We have blacklisted the NGOs which are promoting radicalization in the area,” he said.
In my meeting with UNHCR officials, I warned them that the terrorist groups might find they prey here.
Intelligence and law enforcing agencies are working day in day out to monitor the situation in the area, the home minister said.
About the repatriation process, he said, “Myanmar top leadership always says that they would take them back, but there is no visible progress so far.”
