The family of quota reform leader, Tarek Rahman, said they do not know the whereabouts of Tarek.
We are eager to trace him, said Tarek’s father, Abdul Latif, and mother, Shahana Begum, while talking to the Bangladesh Crime Reporters’ Association, CRAB on Monday afternoon.
Referring to their daughter who had the last conversation with Tarek on 14 July, the father said that his son believed he was being followed.
Later, his phone was switched off, the father informed.
On Sunday, when Tarek’s mother went to lodge a GD at Shahbagh thana, the duty officer reportedly said the GD will be taken after investigation.
Abdul Latif said that Tarek had completed his education from Comilla University, where he was the organizational secretary of Chatra League.
He used to take coaching lessons for BCS and stayed with his aunt in Badda.
I always dissuaded him from taking part in any campaign, but he did not pay any heed to my advice, lamented the father.
“We want to find our son; if he has committed any crime then the police will take action, but first we want to know his whereabouts.”
