The highly competitive medical entrance test has been rescheduled to Oct 11. The test was originally scheduled to be held on Oct 4.
The decision was reached during a health and family welfare ministry meeting on Thursday (Sept 11).
According to the health department, the exam has been rescheduled as Oct 4 falls between the biggest Hindu festival Durga Puja.
The applications for the tests opened on Aug 27 and students will be able to apply till Sept 17.
