The Cabinet Division issued a circular in this regard on Thursday (Aug 29), news agency UNB reports.
“It is being observed that some officers and employees do not attend offices timely showing various excuses, including official/personal works, on their way to offices. As a result, it becomes difficult for people and officials and staff of other agencies to communicate with the officers concerned. This causes sufferings to general people as it slows down government works,” the circular said.
“It needs to be kept in mind while preparing office schedules that their [field officers and employees] office presence is not hampered from 9:00am to 9:40am,” the circular added.
The circular, however, says this order will not be applicable for the officers providing VVIP/VIP protocols, tackling any major emergencies, or attending important meetings, or travelling as per permitted schedules.
The field officers and employees must come to their offices by 9:00am and perform their regular duties staying there until 9:40am to facilitate citizens receiving public services and thus bring dynamism into government activities, adds the circular.
