Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave financial assistance of Taka 1.4 billion to eight organizations.
“The prime minister handed over cheques for the amount to the authorities concerned of the eight organizations at her official Ganabhaban residence on Wednesday (Aug 27) noon,” said PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.
He said the premier gave Tk 250 million each to Muktijuddho Jadughar, the Non-government Educational Institutions Teachers and Employees Welfare Trust, the Non-government Educational Institutions Teachers and Employees Retirement Benefit Board and the Government Primary School Teachers Welfare Trust.
Besides, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Memorial Museum received Tk 150 million and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital and the Imam and Muezzin Welfare Trust received Tk 100 million each from the prime minister.
The prime minister donated Tk 50 million to Neurodevelopmental Disabled Protection Trust, the press secretary added.
