She said this to the media while inaugurating ‘Gangchil’, the third Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, on Thursday (Aug 22).
The prime minister said that more aircrafts would be purchased as part of efforts to boost export and import in the country.
The money for buying the aircrafts would be borrowed from national banks as the prime minister wanted the country to become more independent and rely more on local resources.
“I urge everyone affiliated with the management of Biman Bangladesh to work sincerely for the country because if the country can develop, it can become economically resilient,” she added.
