Children of freedom fighters have vowed to prevent any conspiracy in the name of quota reform movement.
“When the government is moving to a logical conclusion on the quota the anti-liberation forces are trying to fish in troubled water in the name of the quota reform movement,” they said under the banner of Amra Muktijoddhar Santan (AMS), a platform of sons and daughters of freedom fighters, on Saturday.
Blaming vested quarters for attempting to create chaotic and unstable situations, they said, “They (quota reformists) are making derogatory comments on Liberation War, freedom fighters and prime minister and even issuing death threats to the PM openly.”
“Who are they? What are their motives? Who are playing behind the scene? They must be identified and brought to book,” they said.
The platform also placed a 9-point demand. It includes constitutional recognition of the FFs, formulation of law to ensure security to the FFs’ family; special recruitment to fill the vacant govt job posts under 30 percent FFs quota, formation of a requirement committee on quota, confiscating the properties of anti-liberation-minded people, ban on Jamat-Shibir, repelling age limit for job entry to civil service for all including the FFs’ son and daughter.
