Water levels at 19 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 71 stations recorded fall, reports state-owned media agency BSS.
The Surma is flowing above danger level by 9cm at Kanaighat point, according to a bulletin of Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) issued on Saturday (Aug 3).
All the major rivers of the country are in falling trend except Surma-Kushiyara which may continue in the next 48 hours, added the report.
