Health Minister Zahid Maleque lashed out at the media over questions on his recent family trip to Malaysia amidst the dengue outbreak.
Earlier on Thursday (Aug 1), the minister cancelled his scheduled media briefing on dengue citing several appointments that included visits to a few hospitals.
He spoke to the persistent journalists after an inter-ministerial at the secretariat on Thursday.
One of them broached the subject of his much criticised trip when Maleque lashed out, stopped him midway and started speaking on another topic instead.
“We are constantly monitoring the dengue situation,” he said and added that new mosquito repellent medicines were being brought in.
