Water levels at 22 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 69 stations recorded fall, reports state-owned media agency BSS.
Major rivers crossed danger marks at four more points across the country, according to a bulletin of Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) issued on Wednesday (Jul 31).
All the major rivers of the country are in falling trend except the Ganges, which may continue in the next 48 hours, it said adding the Ganges river may remain steady in the next 24 hours.
The Surma at Sunamganj, and Sherpur-Sylhet, the Titas at Brahmanbaria, the Gur at Singra, are flowing above danger level 3cm, 5cm, 11cm and 6cm respectively.
