Regarding the health minister’s foreign trip amidst the worst dengue outbreak to hit the country, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that whether anyone is in or out of the country is not relevant; what is important is the work that is going on.
The senior Awami League (AL) politician and minister made the comment on Wednesday (Jul 31) while inaugurating AL’s cleanliness drive to prevent Dengue.
Quader, who also serves as the ruling party general secretary, said that he did not want to comment on the health minister’s Malaysia trip since it was personal.
Terming dengue as a human crisis, he added: “We must work together to fight this; the cleanliness drive will continue and if necessary dengue tests will be done free of cost.”
