The first namaz-e-janaza of the former military strongman Hussain Muhammad Ershad will be held at Dhaka Cantonment Central Mosque in Dhaka after zuhr prayers on Sunday.
Khandaker Delwar Jalali, Ershad's deputy press secretary, confirmed the matter to Bangla Tribune.
Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad will be buried at Dhaka Military Graveyard on Tuesday (Jul 16), he added.
The second funeral prayer will be performed at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad at 10am on Monday (Jul 15) followed by the third janaza at Baitul Mukarram Mosque after asr prayers.
The body of Ershad will be taken to the party office at Kakrail around 11:30am on the same day for paying tribute. His body will then be kept at the mortuary of CMH.
On Tuesday, the body of the former military ruler would be flown to Rangpur by helicopter, and the fourth and last funeral prayer will be held there after zuhr prayers.
Later, Ershad will be brought back to Dhaka for the burial.
On Wednesday (Jul 17), the qulkhani for Ershad will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque after asr prayers.
HM Ershad passed away at CMH in Dhaka on Sunday (Jul) morning while undergoing treatment there.
