Corruption has significantly curbed as a result of the country being digitalised, said the prime minister’s ICT Affairs Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
“Very few countries other than Bangladesh have been able to digitalise the country in such a short time,” he said during a workshop organised by the Parliament secretariat on Wednesday (Jul 10).
Saying that the government has already launched e-government services, he added that 5G network will soon be available in Bangladesh and announced a new guideline for the telecom sector.
“In order to take the country to the pinnacle of economic prosperity, we must bring about changes in our thinking process in addition to revising the laws,” he said.
Joy added that a digital Bangladesh will make its mark in the world not through imitation but through innovation.
Emphasising on the importance of proper education to take the country forward, he said, “Today’s youth must be moulded through education that is fitting for modern times.”
He added that these youth will represent a digital Bangladesh in the global arena.
