Lieutenant General Aziz Ahmed has been appointed as chief of Bangladesh Army with a promotion to General.
A formal notification was published regarding the appointment on Monday.
The new Army chief will take over on Jun 25 for three years, read the notice.
Aziz Ahmed will replace the present Army chief General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq.

He previously served as the chief of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
