Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been made as a lifetime member of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU).
The decisions were taken at a DUCSU executive meeting on Thursday (May 30) with ex officio president of the DUCSU and DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair, state news agency BSS reports.
Besides, a Tk 18.9 million budget for the 2019-20 fiscal was also approved at the DUCSU executive meeting.
Others issues including introducing health insurance for the students, controlling mass transport movement inside campus and fixing the rickshaw fare were discussed in the meeting, BSS quoted DUCSU General Secretary Golam Rabbani as saying.
Elected 25 leaders including DUCSU Vice-President Nurul Haq and Assistant General Secretary Saddam Hussain also attended the meeting at DUCSU Bhaban on the campus.
