A youth named Shariful Islam was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with detective branch (DB) of police at the early hours Monday near Ekshofit area under Vatara thana in the capital.
Vatara thana sub-inspector Mobarak Hossain confirmed the news to Bangla Tribune.
He said the gunfight took place at 3:30am Monday. We went to the spot after the DB police informed us, and rushed the bullet injured youth to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the duty doctors declared him dead.
