Khutba against terrorism at Jummah prayers

BANGLA TRIBUNE/Sazzad HossainKhatibs and Imams of all mosques across the country, including the Baitul Mukarram national mosque, delivered khutbas and sermons against militancy and terrorism during the Jummah prayers on Friday (Apr 26).
As per the earlier instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the imams and khatibs delivered the sermons in the khutbas during the Jummah prayers, reports state news agency BSS.
A special doa and munajat was also held at the national mosque seeking the eternal peace for Zayan Chowdhury, a 8-year-old grandson of Awami League presidium member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, who had been killed in a terrorist attack in Sri Lanka on Apr 21, and also other deceased.

Awami League Acting General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif, State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr M Murad Hasan, Religious Affairs Secretary M Anisur Rahman, Islamic Foundation acting Director General (DG) Quazi Nurul Islam, Directors Muhammad Mohiuddin Majumder, M Anisur Rahman Sarker, Awami League General Secretary of the Dhaka City Unit Shahe Alam Murad, other city AL leaders and Muslim devotees, among others, attended the prayers.
