The government has approved two more private universities.
The education ministry’s official order was issued on Sunday (June 3) but published on Wednesday (June 6).
The two newly approved universities are Trust University in Barishal and International Standard University in Dhaka’s Mohakhali.
Qazi Shafiqul Alam is the founder of the university in Barishal while International Standard University’s founder is AKM Mosharraf Hossain.
On Jan 29, the government cleared the ZNRF University of Management Sciences and on Apr 16, Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University and Ahsania Mission Science and Technology University.
In total, the number of private universities in the country now stands at 103.
